MARTIAL ARTS CHAPLAINS ASSOCIATION

 A Ministry of the
  Christian Black Belt Association

The "Martial  Arts Chaplain's Association" is a ministry of the Christian Black Belt Association and is patterned after the U.S. Military Chaplain program.  It's purpose is simply to identify, train and endorse qualified individuals to serve as a Chaplain in the Martial  Arts world.  As such the MACA acts as a training and endorsing agent for Martial Arts Chaplains.  The MACA enjoys the support of 'Coral Ridge  Baptist Fellowship' which is registered with the Department of Defense as an Ecclesiastical endorsing Agent  for Military and Civil Air Patrol Chaplains.  As such the MACA draws it's resource and focus from the US Military Chaplaincy. Our Chaplain committee is composed of:

    LEVELS OF CHAPLAIN APPOINTMENT

To  meet the need of providing certified, trained Chaplains while acknowledglng the various levels of preperation, training and ministry experience, the following levels of Chaplain Appointment and recognition are granted.
               
SENIOR CHAPLAIN:

1.Must be ordained by a local Church body.
2.Hold a Black Belt Ranking.
3.Hold an M.Div. Degree or it's equivalent.
4.Has Attended 2 Chaplain's Conferences within the last 5 years.
5.Has a record of 15 or more years of active ministry.
   
CHAPLAIN:

1.Is ordained by a local Church body.
2.Holds a Bachelor's Degree and/or 30 semester hours of Bible, Ministry or Theology
3. Holds a Black Belt ranking
4. Has attended 2 Chaplains Conf. in the last 5 years.

ASSOC CHAPLAIN:

1. Need not be formally ordained.
2. Must hold a Bachelor's Degree and/or 30 semester hours of Bible Ministry or Theology training    .
3. Must attend 2 Chaplains Conferences in a 5 year period.                                                                                            
CHAPLAIN CANDIDATE:

1. Does not yet met the requirements for Chaplain appointment.
2. Is working towards the 30 hour Bible, Ministry requirement.
3. Has studied the basic Chaplains Handbook and passed the Handbook exam.
4. Has attended at least One Chaplains conference.
        



REQUIREMENTS FOR CHAPLAIN APPOINTMENT

The following quidlelines are to be followed in applying for and obtaining MACA endorsement as a Martial Arts Chaplain.

GENERAL CHAPLAIN REQUIREMENTS:
    
1. Must be a  'Born Again" Christian who can  evidence a clear testimony of Salvation and Christian walk.

2. Complete the Application for Chaplains  endorsement.

3. Attach a copy of your Ordination Certificate/License as well as a copy of your College/Seminary transcripts and / or diploma.     
 
4. Enclose the application fee of$25.

5. Initial certificate and Card identifying the Chaplain's status - level of appointment will be  issued upon evaluation of the application materials.

6. Chaplains Credentials will be reviewed and renewed every 3 years to insure currency of training and Spiriutal walk. Those not making an effort to avail themselves of the Chaplains  training via our Annual conf, or     Chaplain's mini-conferences will not be renewed.

DEVLOPMENT AND MEETING REQUIREMENTS:   

1. Chaplain candidates who need to meet the Bible/Ministry training requirement may do so thru 'Koinonia College'. Contact the MACA for information of meeting this requirement.

2. The Chaplains Training program is set up in  Modules of study which may be taken at our Annual Conf or special mini-conferences at various locations as needed. Contact the MACA if you wish  to host such a training Conf in your area.
